With the on-going rumors in the late December of 2009, that the Suzuki is going to launch a new hatchback which is going to compete in Hatchback as well Sedan (1300cc) segment and then finally, Suzuki came up with its new shape, A Brand New Suzuki Swift. Given the surging demand of Toyota Vitz, the Suzuki Company has decided to introduce a new version of small jeep like cars which can compete Vitz in the market.
The new Swift is the epitome of success as it has won 98 awards in 25 countries around the globe. More than 1.5 million units have been sold so far. Swift is the first and foremost hatchback car in Pakistan with powerful 1.3L MPI Engine. It has ABS with electronic brake distribution (EBD), 15 inches alloy wheels, central locking system, electronic power steering, immobilizers, luxurious interior and above all a dynamic exterior that makes it an ideal car. In short the new Swift is "fun to ride, pleasure to drive and pride of ownership."
The car available here in Pakistan is ‘Pakistan assembled’ and has same European inspired exterior. The interior of the car is a little modified for Pakistan as it is always according to the country and market requirements.

Exterior

The Suzuki Swift features a unique and highly unconventional design despite of having engine capacity of 1300cc its exterior body shape relates to conventional 1000cc hatchback. It clearly dodges one who didn’t know about technically because mostly 1300cc vehicle looks like sedan and saloon type. Suzuki has innovated taste of 1.3litres in an extravagant fashion.
In your first impression at Suzuki Swift, you will see a sporty look with Stylished Chromed Grills. Fog lights are also there. The car is also bundled with 15 inch Swift comes with bridgestone tyres and good alloy rims.
Suzuki swift is available in Pearl red, graphite grey, solid white, indica, aqua blue, silky silver, eminent blue colors.

Interior
Let’s come to the interior of the car. We can say that interior of the car is made stylish when we compare it with other Suzuki cars available here in Pakistan. But comparing it with cars of other companies available in market, it is just a normal interior which does not attract customers from other companies like Toyota, Chevrolet etc. The interior portion consists of 3-spoke steering wheel, electric power steering, tilt adjustable steering wheel, electric windows front and rear both, central door locking including tailgate, remote control door locks, air conditioning, heater, pollen filter and audio system.

Engine
Suzuki swift has 1300cc Engine. The car comes up with 5 Speed Manual gear transmission system. The engine assures quickest Pickup, steady drive and optimum fuel efficiency.

Maximum horse power is 89.2 PS (88.0 bhp) (65.6 kW)@ 6000 rpm while the Maximum torque is Maximum torque 118.0 Nm (87 ft•lb) (12 kgm) @ 3400 rpm
The car is using EFi Fuel System.There are 4 valves per cylinder 16 valves in total

Taking in account the visibility, swift has halogen projector headlamps. It also has front fog lamps and rear window demister. For good visibility in bad weather it has front 2-speed wipers and adjustable intermittent and washer.
As compared to other Suzuki cars, Suzuki has worked a lot to improve safety issues, Suzuki introduced four wheel Emergency, ABS Braking system, further more the body is somewhat solid also it comes with auto locking so the owner have ease, not to check every door for locking.
Though, Suzuki took a great step and introduced these safety measures but still, one of the popular airbags are still missing, though it is a down point but as in overall, still much better as compared to other Suzuki cars.

The new Suzuki Swift is equipped with the latest Electronic Power Steering System. The EPS technology enhances driving control also improves steering ability for driver. It puts a lesser amount of load on engine with maintaining excellent fuel economy.

Price:
The price of the car is much little higher than other cars available in market. The company price is Rs 999,000/-, but it has a benefit of having 1300 cc engine while other hatchbacks in Pakistan have 1000 cc engine.
