MANSEHRA: A tourist was killed and seven others sustained injuries when a jeep carrying them from Naran to Saiful Maluk Lake skidded off the unpaved road and fell into a ravine on Sunday, police sources said.
The sources said the incident happened when the driver lost control over the vehicle when it was about four kilometres away from Naran town beyond Kaghan.
One of the passengers identified as Sharafat Ali was killed and several others
including Latifur Rahman, Dadan Khan, Abdul Ghafoor, Muhammad Safdar, Imtiaz Ali, Ijaz and Saleem sustained injuries.
The villagers rushed to the site and started rescue operation. They shifted the injured to a hospital in Naran. However, all of them were later moved to the Ayub Medical Complex in Abbottabad after being administered initial treatment at Naran hospital, the sources said. The victims are stated to be from Abbottabad.
